== 地区描述 ==<br />
珠江口中华白海豚国家级自然保护区位于珠江口水域内伶仃岛至牛头岛之间，面积约460平方公里。1999年10月由广东省人民政府批准建立珠江口中华白海豚自然保护区，2003年6月由国务院正式批准晋升为国家级自然保护区。2007年11月保护区加入中国生物圈保护区网络，成为中国人与生物圈大家族中的一员。该保护区的建立不但最大限度的减少了人为干扰，在挽救濒危的中华白海豚种群同时，也保护了珠江口水域自然环境的生物多样性，修复了海洋生态系统，增殖了渔业资源，为经济可持续发展提供了保障。<br />

在珠江口现存有中国资源数量最大的中华白海豚群体，种群世代比较完整，是中国数量最大的中华白海豚栖息地。珠江口中华白海豚自然保护区管理基地设在珠海市的淇澳岛，基地建设将集保护、研究、救护、驯养、科普、宣教、观赏和生态旅游等功能于一体。其职责和任务是贯彻执行国家有关自然保护区的法律法规和方针政策，拟定自然保护区的总体规划和各项管理制度，统一管理自然保护区；调查自然资源并建立档案，组织环境监测保护自然保护区内的自然环境和自然资源；组织或协助有关部门开展自然保护区的科学研究工作；进行自然保护的宣传教育。<br />
